Heavy Infantry Knight statue is wearing armor and weaponry that reflects the mid 14th to early 15th century period. Representing chaotic brutality of late medieval combat, the greatsword would have been used in grim clashes where strength and brutal efficency determined survival.
Royal Halberdier statue reflects the late 15th to early 16th century. The halberd was a symbol of battlefield adaptability and useful against many opponents such as horsemen, shield, and plate armor. The Swiss utilised the halberd against French cavalry in the Battle of Marignano in 1515, since it was effective to hook cavalry or break armor.
Round Shield Knight statue is reminiscent of mid 11th to late 12th century. It has features of the early Crusader period. The round shield and mail armor mark a time when personal bravery and strong shield tactics were essential. In 1097 at the Battle of Dorylaeum the Crusaders were bombarded with volleys of arrows from Turkish horse archers. They endured by holding firmly behind disciplined shield-lines until reinforcements came.
War Hammer Knight statue represents a time when there was late Gothic full-plate armor and blunt weaponry. It was in the late 15th to early 16th century and the war hammer was used to dent or puncture plate armor. The Swiss infantry at the Battle of Nancy in 1477 had many warriors wielding war hammers and polearms, and managed to defeat the Duke of Burgandy: Charles the Bold.
